House extension, Westerton conservation area.

Situated in Westerton Conservation Area, this area features arts and crafts style houses and is recognised for its architectural significance. The clients wished to extend the accommodation, adding a new open plan kitchen living room with access to the garden.

Due to the complicated rear elevation a double pitched roof was adopted which also matched the picturesque style of the area. The proposals incorporate an open roof internally finished in slate with roof windows and the external walls in roughcast to match the existing house.
