Traditional Glasgow tenement conservation project on southside flat dating from 1876 by Alexander 'Greek' Thompson.
Upgrading and conserving a wonderful example of an intact tenement flat. Almost all original features remained and the challenge was to sensitively upgrade while preserving the existing details. A lot of work went into researching colour schemes, restoring marble fire places and plaster details. All wood work was restored to original decor. Kitchen and bathrooms retained original fixtures and fittings. Any modern facilities were placed into the original context with sensitivity.
