Kitchen and utility extension, Glasgow West End.
This project originally had three elements: a small kitchen extension/utility room, reconfiguration of part of the first floor to create space for a new shower room; and a new gated parking area accessed from the rear lane.
The extension was conceived as a larch-clad 'minor' architectural element, subsidiary to the main house, a contemporary reinterpretation of the timber porches found in Highland Scotland.
Consent was secured for all the elements, but the clients ultimately decided only to create the shower room and parking area.
